Our last Week at a Glance

This is our final week together! I hope the students are rested up because we have a jam-packed week!

Tuesday – AMC Movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Please pack a sack lunch so your child can eat at school when we return. We will be walking to the AMC at Otay Ranch Mall around 9:15. The movie starts at 10 and we should return to campus around 12:30. Students will receive a snack pack but will NOT be allowed to purchase any additional snacks or drinks. They also may NOT bring any electronic devices to the movies.

Wednesday – Olympic Games (am) and Staff vs. Students Kickball Game (pm). Students should wear the colors of our country (Mexico) for the Olympics. They will each compete in two events and top 3 winners in each event will take home a medal. The games will last until lunch, with the closing ceremony continuing after lunch.
After our afternoon recess, we will play in our annual staff vs. 6th grade students kickball game. It should be a fun yet heated battle for the W. I know the students have their hopes up to win this year! 🙂

Thursday – Boomers in El Cajon. We will leave campus around 9 am to go to Boomers. Students must wear their gray class shirt and they are allowed to bring extra money (in a wallet or purse) to use for food, arcade games, batting cages, etc. They may bring their own sack lunch if they prefer. We should return to campus by 1:30 that day.

Friday – 6th Grade Promotion at Eastlake Church at 2 pm. Students DO NOT come to school today. The ceremony begins at 2; students must arrive no later than 1:30 (and not much earlier as there will be other ceremonies taking place that day). Students meet outside the entrance and parents may sit down inside. Our class (416) will enter and be seated on the left side of the auditorium.

I hope your child looks back fondly on this past school year and I wish him/her the best in middle school. They have worked so hard and I am sure they will continue to make you proud as they continue their journey in life. Thank you so much for all of your support this year and I look forward to seeing you at the ceremony on Friday!
